Phain vs. Josh

[Phain]

Phain stood around near the village hidden in the leaves and waitied for his opponet to arrive. "where is this ninja" Phain muttered as he paced around watching the sky and the ground for his opponet. "this does promise to be a good battle though" Phain again muttered while still awaiting his opponets arrival

[Josh]

Josh ran through the woods at top speed. His feet switched back and forth as he ran. His image began to blur into a streak of colors in the air, his image was but a flicker in the wind. He had a planned battle with an Akatsuki member. However he planned to do more than fight him, for after this fight Josh's thirst for blood would be quenched.

He continued to run until he finally spotted a dark figure. When he got closer he recognized him as Phain. The who he would be fighting today. Josh then came to a halt about seven feet from Phain. Josh's eyes pierced into Phain like darts, and his expression was anything but happy or excited but that of which you would see ont he face of a mad psycho killer.

He thought through what he would say quickly. "So your Phain, huh?" he asked with a sort of determination in his tone. "Your chakra signature feels stronger than I expected." Josh said, with a slight snicker. 'This should be a very interesting fight...' he thought hoping this fight would be what he had been hoping for all along.

[Phain]

"if your death is interesting then this battle will be interesting" Phain spoke in a plain tone with a deep booming kind of voice. One difficult to forget. "although you do seem to be a promising ninja I hope that this battle does not end so quickly it cannot be remembered as your final great battle" Phain spoke while shruggin "when do you want to begin?" he asked his face becoming stern and his voice deepening even lower

[Josh]

Josh's eyes pierced and dilated as the cocky Akatsuki member known as Phain spoke. "Cockiness is not what will win you this battle." Josh said, his eyes now narrowing into a relaxed manner. "The battle will start when one of us attack, and end when one of us are lying on the ground." he said, with a grim shade of crimson in his mind. A dark evil smile began to creep across his face for he longed to taste the blood of an Akatsuki member.

As he stared at the person across from him, a part of his mind thought that he might die today. "You attack first..." he said, in a low monotone like voice. He began to think of what Phaines first move might be, and got a few ideas. He kept a very good vision of his surroundings noting everything within view, and making sure that nothing slipped through his mind.

[Phain]

"if your to underconfident there is no point in battling you lose either way. Also ill make the first move but not the first attack" Phain said in a deep voice as he spoke me preformed a single handsign and his arm was covered with a rocky substance. Phain glanced quickly around looking to see that shadows stretched about a foot off all the walls.

Description:After forming the needed Snake handseal, Kakuzu will harden his body using the Earth Element. This provides greater defense against attack and will also strengthen his arm to increase his striking ability.

[Josh]

Josh made sure that he wasn't near any shadows and to do that he controlled the trees around them and forced them backwards which allowed sun light onto the area. Now it would be much harder to catch Josh in a shadow. Josh quickly and thoroughly thought out the vast options he had. There were many but one stuck out to him. One that he remembered someone using against him. It was an effective plan so he decided to go with it.

He prepared himself mentally taking in all of his surroundings. The area was booming with nature and pure air. It was delightful for his senses as the beautiful aroma of spring air curled into his breath as he breathed, and the wavering trees off in the distance were quite a sight, for you didn't see such beautiful mother nature everyday in Konoha. After these few seconds of taking everything in, he decided to go ahead and start the fight.

'I'll end this quickly...' he thought, grinning. "Desomaru..." he whispered softly as his metal companion lept from his backpack and made off into the distance and out of sight. With that Josh exploded into a large explosion. He planned to do the plan a bit differently. He hoped the large explosion would distract Phain as he flickered with speed in front of Phain, while Desomaru, at the same time, was now behind Pain.

Josh's right foot was placed next to Phain's left foot, and his left foot was placed on the ground in between Phain's legs, while Desomaru did the exact opposite by placed his left foot next to Phain's right foot and his other foot also on the ground between Phain's legs. 'This plan will be fool proof...' he thought, as he lunged his sword forward towards the area of Phain's heart, as he also gripped his hand onto Phain's shoulder. "Die!" he shouted, as he thrusted his sword forward, still holding onto it, with all his strength.

Description:
Kage Bunshin is a Jounin level Ninjutsu technique. When Naruto stole the
scroll of seals, he learned this technique as well. The normal Bunshin
technique creates a copy of the ninja that lacks any substance. The
Kage Bunshin distributes the ninja's chakra evenly among the clones and
creates a real copy with form and substance. The clone itself can also
utilize any jutsu the original ninja knows. When the clone finally
disperses, any new knowledge it has gained is passed back to the
original ninja and any additional clones. This makes Kage Bunshin an
excellent training method if the ninja has the chakra capacity and
stamina to maintain the Kage Bunshins for an extended period of time.
This allows the ninja to essentially reduce the time it takes to train
and learn with each clone added. This is especially true when used with
Tajuu Kage Bunshin.

to momentarily boost the user's reflexes. With it they can move short
distances at an almost untraceable speed, appearing to onlookers
as though they teleport in a puff of smoke.

[Phain]

Phain quickly reacted by thrusting his earth spear arm towards Josh and at the same time kicking behind him with one foot at Desomaru. He began these moves right as the explosion happened expecting something to come at him.

[Josh]

((Sorry man, but this is the only way I can get into Akatsuki xD))

Josh eyes filled with fury as he went for the attack, body flickering to him and striking with his sword. He had hoped the attack would make contact and he would be able to kill Phain quickly and easily but that most likely was not the case for something that Josh didn't really expect happened.

Josh thrusted his sword forward, the speed very swift but then he noticed that Phain was about to strike with his earth spear arm. 'Just as planned...' he thought to himself, as he signaled to Desomaru to get away now. He didn't just attack willy nilly without a back up plan, and so he did. His backup plan was actually pretty simple, but not very easy to see through.

"Heh, I knew it wouldn't be that easy..." he said, in a low voice as the spear arm came at him. Desomaru then jumped backwards dodging the kick, he was now about twenty-five feet back. Josh grinned for right before the earth spear hit him, he exploded into yet another explosion for that was also a shadow clone. This was his plan all along, and this would probably be the last time Phain fought.

Josh's crimson eyes could no longer be seen as the explosion was so enormous even if Phain some how saw the attack coming, which would be highly inprobably, even if he were to try and avoid it he would still get caught from the intensity and the mass of the explosion. This was the moment he had been waiting for all along. A chance to kill Phain, so he could take his rightful place in Akatsuki.

(nice moves) Phain realizing that an explosion was happening as soon as Josh allowed the Earth spear to strike without a second attempt at defense Phain's eyes filled with a realization of danger but as was his instinct he preformed another quick single handsign jutsu to protect himself from iminant doom.

Description:The ninja will first do a simple hand seal and then proceed to blow out a jet of water from their mouth to act as a water barrier from incoming attack. (seeing as the flames of the explosion would be at least lessened if they collided with a wall of pure water)

[Josh]

Josh's crimson eyes were filled with joy for the explosion was so large and intense as it burned the surrounding area that it had occured at. The grass was completely burned black as soon as the explosion occured, and Josh hated so much to have to destroy so much nature to kill this ninja, but sometimes sacrifices are necassary in life, to accomplish your dreams.

And that was his dream. To join Akatsuki and be feared by all. He hoped the explosion would kill Phain and simply watched from afar as the explosion fought with the water and steam began to fill the area. Fire began to engulf the area for a large portion of the explosion, instead of being extinguished, was pushed aside. The fire surrounded Phain for it burned into a circle like shape around Phain.

It burned deeply as a mixture of smoke and steam filled the area and the water wall, that had only been going one way, had been evaporated rather quickly by the intense flames. 'Avoiding many of my plans...' Josh thought, grinning from afar as he watched. 'He can't avoid everything...' he thought with an evil grin. He then pulled out an exploding tag and handed it to a vine of wood that he had made rise from the ground in front of him.

The vine then took the exploding tag and once again arose, but this time right below Phain and as soon as it did the heat of the flames triggered it into exploding. Josh watched as he was for some reason beginning to become fond of explosions. He had very high doubt that Phain, or anyone could avoid such a thing. Desomaru was still hidden, also watching the explosion from afar.

[Phain]

Phain began to get annoyed and after this explosion knowing he was on the defensive was already ready for another attack and as soon as he heard and spotted a vine with an explosive tag coming from below he was ready and proceeded to do another defensive water technique. AS he fell back to quickly get out from being directly above the tag.

Description:After doing a couple needed hand seals a column of water will circle the user and then a large force of water will erupt from the circle around the user to hit the attacker. Due to the force of the water the target will be fully enveloped by the water and at its mercy as is pulls them away.

Phain used this technique to defend himself against the attack and put himself instead of Josh on the offensive

[Josh]

Josh was still hidden deep within the woods however and still out of sight, as was Desomaru. The intense flames were extinguished by the incredible amount of water, and the water soon stopped and the ground was left dewy and wet. Josh got ready and crouched down. He was done with the simple tricks. He was going to attack head on.

He sighed for he needed to do this perfectly in order to defeat Phain. He was feeling a bit of remorse for having to kill Phain to get into Akatsuki, but once again sacrifices must be made in order to accomplish your dreams and that's exactly what he had to do. He knew it wasn't going to be easy though, and he hoped tha he won.

"Okay...get ready..." he said, under his breath and got ready. He then body flickered with as much speed as he could muster, and appeared, for only a second, behind Phain and softly tapped an explosive tag onto his bag, and as sono as he did he nodded to Desomaru who then lept from the woods and ran at Phain to distract him. Josh then escaped the area swiftly and stealthly.

He would wait to activate the exploding tag later, but not right now. Since he lightly tapped it onto Phain's back he couldn't of noticed it, and including the distraction of Desomaru he highly doubted that Phain would've noticed. Josh watched from afar as Desomaru pulled back his fist and punched forward with as much strength as he could come up with and with his steel coating over his fist it was a lot.

[Phain]

Phain jumped out of the way of Desomaru with a bound and was near the forest. Phain coughed quietly and looked into the forest where he knew that hid Josh. "come now trickmaster you have not failed to lay one per attack and you think I am blind enough to know there is not one." Phain spoke as he looked at the ground again "you may have me fooled as to where but..." Phain cut off and made a water clone who pulled grabbed up a log. Phain smiled

[Josh]

Desomaru had missed and was angered by this but let it go, and set it aside in his mind. Josh watched it and hoped that Desomaru understood that he was only a decoy, which Desomaru obviously knew he was only a decoy. That's when Josh looked ever closer.

He grinned as Phain took no notice of the explosive tag on his back, and he seemed to have some sort of plan ready. Desomaru knew it was time and jumped backwards a few feet and faked a battle position. It was very believable for he seemed angry and determined as he crouced down like he was about pounce forward.

Josh's crimson eyes once again filled with joy for this would be a fight to remember. He had never faced someone so tough and he would see to it that Phain was remembered when he died. Josh began to feel remorse yet again, but he had to do what he had to. Phain was a very worthy opponent also. He then formed a tiger handsign and the exploding tag of Phain's back exploded into a large explosion.

[Phain]

Phain knowing that an attack would probably come again soon used his collision waves techniques and got it off several seconds before the esplosive tag went off. The explosive tag exploded when Phain was ontop of the waves. Phain rolled off the waves into the water below to stay safe but was again burned in the shoulder and in the back below his last burn.

Alright this Fight has gone perfectly until the Very last post. Sure He is protecting himself and dodging most attacks, but think about it, its pretty simple and he IS akatsuki he isn't some Genin.

Anyway the Problem with your post Phain is for a Substiution to work you must be hit by an Attack. An Exploding note isn't a Direct Physical attack so that wouldn't Work.

I will give you a chance to edit this time seeing how your putting up a good fight.))

'Shit...' he thought, knowing this wasn't going to be easy. But he had a a backup plan. Phain was still underwater and was currently on the defensive, so Josh's plan had to work. Phain had only been in the water for about three seconds as Josh body flickered just close enough to avoid, and utilize the jutsu he was about to use, and also remain unseen.

Phain had now only been in the water for about five seconds as Josh performed a swift string of handsigns that took up nearly no time at all before shouting in his head 'Yomi Numa!' and as soon as he did the entire area, including the water that Phain was under turned into a giant swamp that sucked in and killed everything that was caught in it.

Desomaru was in the woods far from the jutsu, as was Josh as he watched. Because Phain was already underwater when the jutsu was used on him he was instantly under the swamp's surface when the jutsu was activated, and Phain was also not near forest for he was in the center of the blank area that they had been fighting in, and the log he had once used for replacement jutsu had already been crushed and destroyed by the mud swamp. 'There is truely no escape...' Josh thought grinning at his soon to be victory.

Phain's water was to far away to be pulled in and as soon as Phain noticed he was sinking used a small amount of his remaining chakra to use his substitution technique on the water clone. (note chakra is now about 2/3's depleted) Phain was now about 10 ft. from the mud and swamp thing that almost pulled him to dis death.

[Josh]

((No, the jutsu turns the entire area into a mud swamp, including your water, and you have no control over the water anyways. In the jutsu description Kisame would control it by surfing on it, and seeing as how you were already deep under the swamp, you should be dead. xD I think an auto-kill could possibly be in order but I won't push it. I call GOD-MODDING.))

(( Your call has been answered, and the result; Bam~ Phain using chakra, could push himself out of the swamp. This could happen because it would built inside of him and then he could unleash it at the same moment causing it to explode, the force pushing him through your muck. But, he didn't say that and his post didn't explain too much. however, you have to give him some outlet, Josh. With your post; you covered everything to purposefully get him stuck. That isn't fair. If you are going to try and do something like that, you leave things unsaid, okay? Phain, because you mistook his jutsu, I think you are allowed an edit; but that's it. Don't copyright my above statement on chakra projection, either. xD

((Phain told me to start covering everything more, as well as how much time everything took and yada yada. So I did so. Also he said he pushed himself out of the "water" when he is in the swamp. I'm sure you gus remember when Jiraiya used a much weaker form of the jutsu on Orochimaru's large snake summon and it sunk and killed it which shows it's power especially since I used a more powerful one than that, since I have no poison in my body greatly limiting my chakra, therefore I doubt that it would be so easy as to just "push" yourself out of it, also even if he did, it would take a lot of chakra to do so, and since he has used so many powerful water style jutsus, even if he accomplished such a task he would be left with VERY little chakra, considering how much chakra "Bursting Collison Waves" and the other jutsus he used uses so much chakra.))

((Ugh, you don't HAVE to forfeit. I'm very sorry for bringing this up, but even if you DID use replacement jutsu on your water clone, he was also sinking into the swamp since the swamp is so large, and took up the area, your clone would have also been pulled into the swamp.))
