The Kazekage's long awaited nap -[Private]-
Saruno was finally having a chance to relax, after such a long time of constantly working on paperwork. A small villa on the end of the village was made for him over three years ago, for the greatness of being elected Kazekage.
Sliding his left palm on his temples, he rubbed them all so slightly, trying to take away some tension. Saruno was walking up a small green path towards the end of the village, to his villa. He needed to relax, after being up for over three days, he couldn't take much more paperwork. His right hand, his writing hand was just pounding, writing over six-thousand words in under an hour was just murder. Looking over to the gate where it protected his home from intruders, with chakra sealed barriers, and burning fire-fiends. It was secure alright, something that would hopefully allow him to sleep peacefully.
Walking up to the gate's entrance, he placed his left palm on the front end of the great door. The gate was over twenty feet tall, spikes on the ends of them. Hidden, of course. The only way to get in was if he left the door open, or someone had great skill to get quietly past all traps and guards. This was something that was going to happen anyway. He pushed a small amount of chakra through the lock in the gate's door, pushing it slightly open. The door opened with a large creak, showing the grass-lain area of the front yard of his small villa. Walking through the opening, the door just creaked closed, but not all the way, a stick stuck in the door, keeping it open all so slightly. The lock didn't click, so it didn't lock
Saruno walked up to the front door of the villa, placing his left palm on the end of the silver knob, turning it all so gently. The door opened without a sound, the sound of wind brushed past his ears, and into the room. The room was small, showing only a couple chairs, cushioned, and a large staircase that led to the second floor. Sliding to the staircase, he let his right palm slid onto the railway. He began to slowly walk up the steps of the stairs, hearing Kairi in the kitchen, cooking away for her dinner. It was late at night, he needed some sleep, food or not.
Walking up to the top step of the staircase, he felt like collapsing. Saruno was all so exhausted, he would just fall right then and there, but he kept his feet firmly on the ground. He walked to the end of the great hallway, to a door about his height, a marking of the Kazekage on the middle tile of it. The door was a pure white, except for the black marking in the middle. He set his right palm on the door's silver knob, opening it all so slightly. He slowly opened the door, hearing a small creaking sound as he did. Setting his feet one by one, he entered the room, sliding his right palm off the knob, closing the door all so gently.
It was dark, but he didn't care, he knew where everything was, a feather, ink bottle, his bed. Ah, his bed, a cushioned work of art. Walking over the end of his crimson-fluffed bed, he turned around and faced his door, sitting down on the end of that bed. He needed to sleep, and now. Sliding his feet around the end of the bed, and onto the bed, his sandals flew off his feet and into the shoe bin at the end of his closet. His cloak was hanging up on the coat rack on the end of his door. He was wearing nothing but a white sleeveless T-shirt, and a pair of black pants. Closing his eyes gently, his arms folded against his torso, drifting off into a deep sleep.

Re: The Kazekage's long awaited nap -[Private]-
The day had been a long one, Ruii thought quietly to herself; her steps slowed to a normal pace, the usually eccentric girl tired. It had been some time since she had been worked so thoroughly, but the woman didn't really mind. Missions were so different from doing work within the village and anything she could give to Suna, she would. This place was her home and haven and not being able to help it troubled the woman some days. Missions were just killing and killing, no change; no pattern, it was the same everyday. A new strategy was to be made, her team made the formation and then; they killed, without mercy. It was a constant in her life that was a blessing and a curse. Feeling her shoulders stiffen, the ANBU Captain lifted her arms over her head to the right, popping the shoulder. The released pressure felt wonderful and as she did it to the other side, a smile appeared on her lips.
It dragged, just like her feet did, but that didn't matter to her. It showed that although she was exhausted she was still happy, and that; was more important to the woman than anything. being surrounded around death made you forget what your living for and realize that a tombstone with your name on it could be just around the corner. Grinning at the thought, she breathed in deeply, the cool night air feeling nice against her parched throat. She was chilled form the night weather, but she ignored the uncomfortable feeling, instead settling for the fact that she had a report to give, and although she knew Saruno would not be at his office, but at home like she had told him to be 2 nights ago; Ruii still continued to walk, passing her apartment. The light was on that gave a glimpse at her rather modern house. It seemed either the creature was out of its scroll or she forgot to turn it off.
Not thinking much about it, she trekked on, absentmindedly thinking about the warm dinner she'd prepare after a nice long nap. It wasn't often that the woman grew tired, but she felt the drags of time and saw the shadowed bags that darkened her bright, white eyes. Letting out a yawn, Ruii continued her slow pace not really caring how late or early she would be. Time was something that Ruii had learned was precious and although right now she was wasting it, this was something different. Shivering as a cool wind blew by, the woman pulled the shawl tighter to her chest, having grabbed it out of her office before leaving. She should have taken a warmer jacket from her home, but that would slow her down and the call from her bed would be too inviting.
Seeing the kazekage's villa come into view, she involuntarily picked up her pace; her instincts taking over. it was like a race, she thought wryly, her body sprinting up the wall, you start out steady and as the last 100 yards come into play you book it, running as fast as you can. Jumping onto the windowsill, she balanced herself easily, her lean frame fitting neatly into the square cutout. Pick locking the window opened, she landed soundly, her padded shoes helping the situation. she had seen his body before she broke in but didn't really pay much attention to it. But now, as she closed the distance to his bed she realized he was sleeping. "The damn idiot," she muttered darkly, her mask not showing the pinched forehead and furrowed brows. From what she could put together, the damn bastard hadn't taken her advice and worked himself sick. Sighing, Ruii knew she didn't have the heart to wake him up just yet, so she placed herself in the corner of the room, legs folded under her; determined to wait.
It wasn't that she really had anything too important to report, but Ruii liked to check in on the Kazekage. He had the fault of not taking good care of himself, and often Ruii found herself clucking like a mother hen. He was so difficult sometimes. Placing her hands on her lap, the woman sat tall, her back straight. she was slightly envious of the man who slept soundly now. The shinobi knew she hadn't disturbed him, her ability to break in and enter one that she polished to the finest art. She was a pro, and although she was tired, Ruii was sure she had not made a mistake. Closing her eyes behind the Cat mask, she willed herself to mediate into a sleepless rest.

Re: The Kazekage's long awaited nap -[Private]-
A dark breeze entered the room as Ruii opened the window on the end of Saruno's room. It was cold at night, but right now, it didn't matter. Even with the Shukaku demon inside of him, he had a seal as strong as hell itself. Even if he slept or not, that demon would stay in him at all times. After an incident a few years back, he swore never to release that demon ever again. Turning onto his left side, facing away from Ruui, his eyes still closed, dead asleep. It was just a natural instinct, try to get warmer, even when your asleep. The side of his cover rolled along with him, covering the right side of his body.
It was oh so tedious, being the Kazekage of the Village hidden in the sand, only few things to do but paperwork, give out missions, the works. At home, when his paperwork was done, missions were given out for the week. He had backed up his papers from the past week, but finished them all but a couple hours ago. Before he came back to the village less than a week ago, he had been fighting off some rouge ninja, unknown of course. They were attacking him on a simple trip to pick up some supplies. Even as a high-ranking, and high-standard kind of ninja, he always tended to act on his own behalf, and of his villages. The items were secret, especially to himself.
A small presence of another person shifted into his chakra network, alerting him in a moment's notice. As a member of the Kazura clan, he had a double-sense of people around him, reading chakra, elemental release, everything. It was a specialty, but it came with costs. Opening his eyes all so slightly, keeping his figure lying on the bed on the left half of his body, the covers of the crimson-shaded blanket over his right half. "You know, It's rude to enter someone's house without knocking..." Saruno had said, hopefully enough so Ruii could hear. It was unusual, to be visited by an Anbu of his own village. He wondered why, but he was all so tired to figure that out at a moment's notice, as he usually would.
He turned back to the back of his body, the blanket covering only half of his torso. He was all so tired, and the bed just tempted him to keep sleeping. It was something that he was looking forward to all week. But now, he had time to talk to one of his Anbu, which he rarely had the chance to. Saruno thought a bit in his mind about a few previous events, but just shook his head a bit. The sheet behind his head moved a bit with his movement, but he stopped almost momentarily. Turning his head to the Anbu, he awaited a response.
((Sorry it's so short, I'll try again next time. xD))

Re: The Kazekage's long awaited nap -[Private]-
She smiled, her lips twinging upward at the corners as she heard his gruff reply to her entrance. The woman didn't mind that he had discovered her presence in his room; it would have been interesting if he had not. Although it did put a dent in her ever growing ego. She laughed silently at the joke. Ruii had hoped to surprise the Kazekage by getting into his house without a problem while still not waking him up, but this time, she thought inwardly, maybe the woman had bitten off more than she could chew. All well, there would always be a next time! Giggling out loud for a moment, she tilted her hidden head, the moonlight bouncing off of the porcelain of the mask, sending an eerie shadow up the wall. It resembled a mere shine from a piece of glass and just as quickly as it happened, the glimmer disappeared.
"Saruno-san," she said quietly, her voice soft and drawling as if she had all the time in the world, "What I wish to discuss with you is not all very important, and right now, I'm contemplating allowing you to go back to sleep. Although..." she drifted off, her eyes picking up a mischievous gleam that couldn't be seen yet very much heard, "I did tell you that two nights ago. I wonder, good sir; if I should make you suffer for not taking my advice?" There was a joking note in her voice that was a near constant in her speech, but she hoped the man didn't take her lightly. Ruii was known for getting right into her superior's faces and she would keep him up if she thought he deserved it. Which at this moment, she was leaning toward. She had seen him without even a days sleep and the poor man had begun to look ragged. Ruii remembered walking in, without her ANBU gear as a simple Jounin and she had immediately noticed the dull look in his eyes. The blue haired beauty had told him to go home and rest, saying that he was useless tired; but apparently her jibs didn't work.
She'd have to work on those later, she muttered inwardly, her eyes narrowed at the thought of defeat. Turning her attention back to the man, she stood up silently, her frame moving like a willow tree, bending and twisting gracefully. Walking over to the bed with a gleeful smile she let out a squeal before jumping over the Kazekage and landing on the other side of his bed, with a thump. The mattress reacted to the unexpected weight and bounced, causing her to flail around wildly, accidentally smacking Saruno in the head with her arm guard. Blinking as she caught herself and settled down beside him, her legs crossed and smiling girlishly, her mask on the top of her head and tilted to the side rather carelessly. Ruii was an odd ANBU, having no control or center around the Hokage like most people did in his presence. Laughing and totally oblivious to the fact that she had hit him, Ruii continued, "So, what do you think about the colour yellow, Saruno-kun?"

Re: The Kazekage's long awaited nap -[Private]-
Saruno simply sighed, having all too many people in his room. Two was too many, he didn't mind his sister coming up to check on him, but over 2 is the limit. Being hit in the head with an arm guard, accidentally, he felt a bit of a drawback, a small shiver went down his spine. "What i feel about the color..." he began to say, stopping before he said, 'Yellow', "Why do you ask?" he said within his dark, unrelenting kind of voice. He didn't all so like being hit, especially in his own home. Looking to the Anbu on the other end of the bed, her blue hair flowing behind her mask. It was definitely mysterious alright.
He looked to her gleaming mask, which was reflecting a bit off from the moon, remembering a bit of her words back in his office a few days back. Then he remembered a few words she spoke off not too long ago. Saruno simply kept his emotionless expression, "I've been through torment, i don't think whatever your planning can get to me..." he said within his unrelenting kind of voice. His expression showed like, absolute no emotion, at all. He was like a wooden figure, no expression, emotion. But in some ways, his hair just swayed lightly with the movement of her jumping onto the spring mattress below them. It made him jump a little, but not far enough to knock him off.
He thought a bit about the week, since he was a bit tired, he couldn't remember much. Then he looked back to the day she came in with just a Jounin outfit, then just let up a small smirk. "Maybe i should of taken your advice, now your here..." he continued with his dark kind of voice. His expression showed only little of his emotion, but not much. His crimson red eye gleamed a bit off of the moon's reflection, his right eye snugly behind a sealed bandage, small markings of a seal technique keeping the power of the eye back. His face showed a bit of what he went through back in the day, a small moon scar went upwards from his forehead to the bottom of his chin. It showed he was in Moon country, but moved to Sand out of the death of his clan. But right now, he wondered what the Ruii had in store, he would just wait.

Re: The Kazekage's long awaited nap -[Private]-
She looked at him thoughtfully, her head tilting to the side in a contemplative action. Light blue locks framed her face elegantly, the moonlight playing with the shadows, creating interesting planes of light on her bone structure. It hid one eye behind darkness, leaving only the single orb visible. It flashed in the darkness, the eye straining to make out the figure in front of her. She refused to activate her Kekkei Genkai, instead deciding to simply picture his look from his way of tone and the angle of the bed. It wasn't unusual for the man who now held the rank of Kazekage to speak so monotonousness, but it still irritated the woman who seemed to constantly be changing her tone of voice. She disliked how calm he always seemed to be, how he always hid what he truly felt behind sarcastic words or simple comments that brushed off the situation he did not want to discuss. it was so difficult to understand him, this man who was the result of reading the ninja rule book one too many times.
Frowning slightly partially from her irritation and another from her lack of sleep, Ruii lifted a hand to cover a yawn, her eyes watering slightly from the jaw cracking motion. She shivered for a moment, a crawling sensation vibrating down her spine from the cold and automatically she wrapped her arms around herself, rubbing at the bare skin to create some friction. Eying the open window with a look of pure irony, she slipped off the bed and shut it with a flick of her wrist, resulting in a quiet thud. Letting out a sigh, she giggled girlishly, before sitting back onto the bed, this time with a little more grace then before hand. It bounced under her weight, but eventually it stopped moving and the woman drew her attention back to Saruno. Reaching over she ruffled his hair like he was a toddler that did something cute, Ruii laughed. "I'm not here to torment you, Saruno-kun! And I guess," she said, her voice trailing off in thought, "I'll leave if you really want me to!"
Grinning, she cracked her neck and waited for a response, her report about the crappy mission he gave her could be told another morning.

Re: The Kazekage's long awaited nap -[Private]-
Even with the dim light of the moon entering the room, a slight breeze entering through the window before it was shut, Saruno could still tell Ruii's emotions with an obvious taste. It didn't really amuse him all so much, but it did anyway. Reason why he hid his emotions because of his few states he has with those emotions, and a few 'details' in between. A small shade of brown coursed over his hair in a perfect streak, then covering the entire hair line of his locks. It was sorta embarrassing, but also so amusing to him all the same. Seeing her jump from one place to another was a bit confusing for him, but it was all the same. Her blue hair was just shining in a bit of the light from the moon, from his perspective. Sliding his left palm to his mouth, he covered a large yawn, mostly from being up for a long period of time, and a few 'other' reasons as well.
A small motion of his being just slid a bit from his comforter, picking up his knees and slid to the side of the bed where Ruii was, "Well you don't have to go if you don't want to Ruii.." he said in a bit of his dark kind of tone, a bit soft in between that. Saruno didn't like his villagers, or any of his ninja all so upset or angry, anything that was irritating to anyone, it just wasn't right for him to see that. "You can do as you like, i don't really mind" he let up just a simple smile, seeing if that would cheer her up any. It probably wouldn't or would, he never knew until it happened. Sliding his left palm to the bandages on his right optical, it smudged a bit of the paint of it, holding the seals together, But it didn't really matter to him, his eye was all so dormant at night, so it wouldn't affect anyone that easily. He was just concerned for Ruii's kinda of emotions. Unlike most of the people in his village, friends and family were a bit more important, just a bit, due to his standing. Torture of a Kage, but it's worth the risks.
Setting his palms behind his back, he let out a small yawn, looking up to the ceiling, then to the wall on the end of the room. It was dark, just not too dark.

Re: The Kazekage's long awaited nap -[Private]-
She smiled sweetly at him, her lips pulling upward in a careful smile. Leaning forward, she patted his shoulder, pushing him lightly back against the pillow, resting his head comfortably. Pulling back after giving him a stern look, which gave a silent warning to stay there, Ruii winked before crawling to the end of the bed and getting to her feet, albeit unsteadily. She too, was feeling the remnents of exhaustion, and sleep called to her like a dream, the heavy chains of tiredness pulling at her arms and legs, weighing her down. She craved the bed that lay waiting for her at home and the shinobi could not wait to climb into it, but that was not the reason she stood or made her way toward the window. It had nothing to do with er health, although it did give the final push for her disappearance.
She could see the dark circles that ran under Saruno's eyes, the blackish colour resembling bruises made by fists. It was worrying to see her kazekage in a state of such tiredness, that she knew it would only make her feel better if she allowed him the sleep he so evidently needed. No matter what he thought. Smiling slightly, she leaned against the window, her open eyes half lidded and blurring more and more. Blinking away the lack of sight, she looked at him once more, knowing that the sooner he slept the better. Suna needed their leader in good shape and that would only happen when he was awake. She had a guilty feeling coming from deep within, having woke him up from his "beauty" sleep. Saluting with two fingers, she rested a hand against the latch, "You need your sleep, Saruno-kun... I'll chat to you tomorrow! At the break of dawn too! Which is... 3 hours from now!" She let out a laugh, signaling that she was joking. Smiling once more, she blew a kiss at him and hopped out the window.
